1. Combat uniform 1. Army Combat Uniform (ACU) The Army Combat Uniform (ACU) is the combat outfit currently equipped by the US Army, replacing the original combat uniform (BDU) and desert camouflage uniform (DCU). It has changed a lot in design, and the camouflage pattern is also different from before. ?? The new military camouflage pattern used by ACU is called Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP), which is mixed with green, tan and gray, and can effectively play a role in desert and urban environments. ACU's fabric minimizes visibility under infrared. ACU's jackets use Velcro to secure name tags, rank marks, and identification marks, such as the national flag and infrared signs. The near infrared signal management technology is applied to the ACU to minimize the infrared profile of the wearer. Permanent infrared enemy identification flags are sewn on the shoulders on both sides to help the friendly soldiers recognize at night under night vision. When the identification mark is not in use, it can be protected with Velcro. Three types of American flag signs are approved for ACU: full color, full color infrared, and reverse color infrared. The American flag logo (full or reverse) is worn on the pocket cover of the right arm. Reverse flag flags are only used in tactical or battlefield conditions. The star on the American flag is on the right side of the pattern, rather than the traditional left side, the purpose is to indicate that the national flag advances with the wearer. The reversed armbands are always required to be worn. The collar of the top can be erected during combat, making it easy to wear IOTV body armor. Clothes are fastened with zippers and reinforced with velcro. The chest pockets, cuffs and elbow pads are all made of velcro. There is a 3-slot pencil case on the left arm of the jacket, and its loose pencil slot adds flexibility. ACU's pants use a 2 inch wide nylon mesh belt and a Velcro padded pocket on the knee. There is a forward-sloping storage bag on each side of the thigh, and elastic ropes and velcro buckles are used during movement. There is also a storage bag on each side of the calf, which is fastened with velcro. When worn, the trouser legs can hang outside, but not beyond the third lace eye of the boot. Matching with the ACU are brown combat boots. Commercial boots are permitted, but the boot must be higher than 20 cm and non-boot shoes are not allowed. 2. Marine Corps Combat Uniform (MCCUU) MCCUU is the combat uniform currently used by the US Marine Corps. It is also used by US Navy guards and US Navy pastors assigned to the Marine Corps. The clothing was tested in 2001, equipment began in 2002, and equipment was completed in 2004. It replaces the BDU combat uniforms used in the past with the Army, Navy and Air Force. ?? The MCCUU combat uniform and its camouflage pattern (MARPAT) are specifically designed for the US Marine Corps, have patent rights, and are not widely available in the civilian market. MARPAT has two designs, forest and desert. When viewed at close range, MARPAT patterns are also mixed with eagle, earth and anchor patterns. There are different ways to wear MCCUU according to the environment and season. Unlike BDU, MCCUU was designed with the issue of wearing body armor at the same time. The MCCUU top has 2 inclined chest pockets with velcro, 2 sleeve pockets with buckles, thickened elbows, elbow pads on the inside, adjustable cuffs, eagle and earth embroidered on the left chest pocket And anchor patterns, level marks are nailed to the collar. MCCUU pants have two pockets on the front and back, one on each side of the thigh with a storage bag fastened by an elastic cord, the knees and hips are reinforced, the waist has some rubber bands, and the knee pants have a padded bag inside. Marines are wearing brown combat boots. Commercial boots are permitted, but require that the boot must be higher than 20 cm and have the marine eagle, earth and anchor patterns on the outside of the heel. 3. Navy Workwear (NWU) NWU is the latest work uniform of the US Navy, which is used to replace the original uniforms worn by soldiers and washable khakis worn by officers, winter blue overalls, and other similar tropical clothing used in small amounts. Its design is based on the Marine Corps MCCUU combat uniform. NWU uses a long thick twill fabric without ironing. Clothes and pants have many pockets, 4 tops and 6 pants. Its multi-color digital camouflage pattern is similar to other military services. ?? There are 3 basic styles of NWU: most seafarers wear blue mainly on the ship, with gray NWU, forest digital camouflage and desert digital camouflage for seamen serving in the army who need this kind of clothing. The camouflage pattern also has an infrared reading pattern similar to that of the Marine Corps MCCUU combat uniform. The use of infrared equipment at night can easily identify naval personnel. NWU's accessories include navy blue cotton T-shirt, octagonal cap, black belt. The all-climate component also includes pullover sweaters, wool jackets, parka coats, etc., all of which have similar camouflage patterns. ?? The all-blue collar reflects the tradition of the Navy and its connection with the ocean. Although there is no need to deliberately disguise the wearer, NWU chose a color pattern similar to the color of the US Navy ship, so that when the ship is anchored in a port that may be penetrated by the enemy, the personnel working on the deck become the obvious target of attack. Digital camouflage can also be used to hide the inevitable wear and smudges of work on board. Military uniform fabrics are nylon and cotton blends, each accounting for 50%. This fabric is used to make the NWU wear more sturdy, reduce the obstruction of movement on the ship, avoid scratching, and extend the service life. The military rank logo is worn on the collar and octagonal cap, the name and the words 'U.S.NAVY' are embroidered on the chest, the officer is gold, and the soldier is silver. Two black boots are worn with NWU. It is required to wear black glossy metal pointy boots on the ship, and black suede matte boots can also be worn on the shore or at the non-ship command. 4. Air Force Combat Suit (ABU) ABU is the latest combat uniform with military characteristics of the US Air Force, which has been completely distributed before 2011. The ABU is similar in color to the Army's ACU, with a slight bluish color, but closer to the color of the replaced BDU. The matching boots are maintenance-free leaf green goatskin combat boots, and black desert boots can be worn during the transition period. Other accessories such as backpacks and gloves are also leaf green. ABU does not have such things as tilted pockets, sleeves, and velcro on the Army ACU. However, ABU has basic near infrared performance. ?? The hat is a traditional patrol hat, and the sun hat (boonie) can only be worn at the deployment site. The shirt is a desert T-shirt. All signs on the clothes are embroidered with dark blue thread. There are 2 map pockets on the inside of the top. The pen case is on the left forearm and can hold 2 pens. No other signs are allowed on the clothes. Elasticated waistband and mesh belt. There are hidden pockets in the storage bag on the thigh side. There are also 2 storage bags on the calf. ABU is iron-free, and ironing, pressing or dry cleaning are strictly prohibited. Air Force personnel simply remove the clothes from the dryer and put them on. Any transitional treatment of clothing will damage the clothing and destroy his near infrared capabilities. Second, regular service 1. Army uniform (ASU) The Army Uniform (ASU) is the latest uniform of the US Army and is used to replace the original 'Army Green' uniform and 'Army White' uniform. The uniform is based on the uniform formerly known as 'Dress Blue', whose tradition can be traced back to the uniform of the Continental Army during the War of Independence. In the Civil War, the federal government army also used blue uniforms. ?? ?? The new Army ASU is mainly composed of ASU tops, low waist pants, and shirts. The jacket is made of heavier and wrinkle-resistant fabric, made of 55% wool and 45% polyester fiber. Military and corporal sergeant trousers have gold trousers on both sides. There are two main ways to wear ASU regular clothing: Type A and Type B. Class A mainly wears army blue tops and trousers/skirts/trousers, short-sleeved or long-sleeved shirts, and a tie (male)/bow tie (female). Type B mainly wears army blue trousers/skirts/trousers, short-sleeved or long-sleeved shirts, and a tie is required when wearing long-sleeved shirts. The U.S. Army has clear regulations on accessories worn in categories A and B. When wearing ASU, you can wear berets (black, maroon, green and brown), regular caps (male and female corporal soldiers and above) or boat-shaped caps (reserve officer training team students); you can wear black Oxford shoes, black strapless shoes and Black combat boots. In addition, ASU can also be used as a dress. The dress of the dress is that the male soldier wears a blue jacket and trousers, long-sleeved white shirt and black bow tie, and the female soldier wears a blue jacket, skirt, long-sleeved white shirt and black bow tie . When the ASU dress is worn in the evening social activities, it is not necessary to wear a hat. When wearing formal attire, it is forbidden to match combat boots and institutional signs, such as armbands, gendarmerie accessories, and badges unique to each unit. Other clothes are dressed in the same way as Category A. 2. Navy uniform (SU) There are several styles of daily uniforms for US Navy soldiers, which are generally worn in the office environment and foreign exchanges. It includes khakis, winter blue uniforms and summer tropical white uniforms. In addition, there are new regular clothes being replaced. ?? Khaki is only allowed to be worn by naval officers and sergeants. It is a combination of short-sleeved shirts and trousers. There are two different fabrics: one is polyester/wool blend (75/25%), and the other is navy-certified twill fabric (100% polyester, due to poor fire resistance , Not allowed to wear on board). When wearing, the left pocket of the shirt is equipped with a ribbon, and above the ribbon is a combat badge. Above the pocket on the right is a name tag, and the military rank logo is worn on the collar. There are three types of hats that can be worn with khaki suits. The more commonly used are khaki boat caps or headquarters baseball caps, while khaki hats are more formal. Black or brown Oxford shoes are allowed, but only navy aviation wear brown shoes. Black shoes with black socks, brown shoes with khaki socks. The shirt must be worn at the waist. When wearing a khaki uniform, a black V-neck sweater can be worn outside. Navy officers and sergeants who work in the Pentagon must always wear khaki uniforms. Winter blue uniforms allow naval soldiers of all levels to wear. It consists of a long-sleeved black shirt and black belt, and trousers (women can wear skirts). The hat is a big brim hat, white hat or black boat-shaped hat. When wearing it, you need to wear a tie (the female soldier wears a bow), the first grade sergeant and below are equipped with silver tie clips, and the other are equipped with golden tie clips. Clothes can be equipped with ribbons and badges, officers and sergeants wear metal collar flowers, soldiers only wear level badges on the left arm. Soldiers wear appropriate troop identification cards on their right shoulders. In addition, all-weather jackets, blue trench coats or thick short coats can also be worn with it. This kind of regular service is about to be replaced by a new regular service. The summer white uniform consists of a white short-sleeved polo shirt, white trousers and belts, and dress shoes (white for officers and black for sergeants and below). Officers and sergeants wear large-brimmed hats, and noncommissioned officers and below wear white hats (female soldiers wear large-brimmed hats). Officer uniforms wear shoulder badges, sergeant majors wear metal badges, and others wear grade badges. Like the khaki uniform, the summer white uniform also has two fabrics (polyester/cotton blend and navy-certified twill fabric). White uniforms can also be worn with all-weather jackets, blue jackets or tweed short coats. The tropical white uniform is similar to the summer white uniform, but wears white shorts and knee socks. The white dress will also be replaced by the new dress. The purpose of the new navy uniform is to use a uniform that can be worn throughout the year to replace the different seasons of clothing. The personnel below the sergeant major, namely E1-E6 personnel, wear this kind of ordinary clothes. The new regular clothing will replace the winter blue uniform and the summer white uniform. The new regular clothing consists of short-sleeved khaki shirts and/or tight tops, black trousers and/or skirts. Unlike the previous military rank logo on the sleeve, the sailor will wear a silver-plated metal military rank logo on the collar of the shirt or jacket. The noncommissioned officer can wear a black Eisenhower jacket with a braided stand collar and epaulettes, wearing a large electroplated metal rank logo on the jacket. The black boat cap with the military rank logo fixed on the left will continue to be used. Soldiers will still wear V-shaped armbands when wearing jackets. This regular service has been available since the summer of 2009. 3. Marine uniforms Marines often wear olive green and khaki. The composition and function of these two kinds of regular service are exactly the same. Wear this type of clothing in military courts, meetings with national and foreign dignitaries, visits to the White House (except when visiting as a tourist or designating another costume), and when going ashore to report work. The uniform is allowed to be worn outside of work practice. There are three types of dress code for the Marine Corps: Class A is the basic uniform. It consists of a green jacket, green trousers and khaki belt, khaki long-sleeved shirt, khaki tie, tie clip, and black leather shoes. The left chest of the coat is decorated with ribbons and badges. Female soldiers wear green bows, strapless pumps, and optional skirts. It is not necessary to wear a coat when indoors. ?? Class B and A are basically the same, but do not wear a coat, and the ribbon can be worn on the shirt. Category C is basically the same as Category B, but wear short-sleeved shirts and no straps. There are three kinds of hats used in conjunction with the Marine Corps uniform. Both men and women can wear green soft boat-shaped caps. You can also wear a regular cap, which has different designs for men and women. The rank badge of the officer is worn on the shoulder of the coat and the collar of the shirt, and the rank of the soldier is embroidered on the sleeve. You can also wear a green sailor collar sweater when dressing in categories B and C. At this time, the rank of the officer can still be nailed to the collar, and everyone also wears the rank mark on the shoulder. The collar of the shirt is exposed on the outside of the sweater to show the rank of the officer. Sweaters and long-sleeved khaki shirts do not require a tie when worn together. 4. Air Force regular service At present, the US Air Force's regular service was adopted in 1993 and finalized in 1995. It includes a 3-button top with fewer pockets similar to a sports jacket, trousers, a large brim hat and a flying cap. The color is Air Force Blue (a deep blue). It is accompanied by a light blue shirt and a tie with a herringbone pattern. Soldier coats and shirt sleeves are worn with military rank emblems, and officer metal rank emblems are nailed to clothing or to the shoulders of shirts. ?? The Air Force proposed a new regular service in 2006 and currently has two design options. One uses a stand-up collar design, similar to the uniforms of officers of the US Army Air Force before 1935, and the other is similar to the uniforms of the US Army Air Force during World War II. The plan for the new regular service has not yet been finalized, but the Air Force prefers the latter design, but instead uses the small lapel design. 3. Other clothing 1. Fitness training suit Physical training uniforms are clothing worn by soldiers when exercising. The US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force require troops to wear physical training uniforms during training. US Army Improved Physical Training Suit (IPFU) US Army soldiers are currently wearing improved training uniforms. It is basically a set of sportswear with the Army logo. ?? IPFU consists of the following main components: T-shirt: Gray long-sleeved or short-sleeved T-shirt with Army lettering; large reflective 'ARMY' on the chest and the usual reflective 'A' on the back; Shorts: Multi-purpose black shorts, can be used for swimming, it is worn with long-sleeved or short-sleeved shirts, or can be worn in black IPFU trousers; Trousers: black trousers, lined with breathable nylon fabric with holes; Jacket: Gray zippered jacket with 'ARMY' embroidery on the left chest, reflective V-shaped pattern from the shoulder to the stomach to the back, hidden vents on the back, and hidden pullable vents on the armpits ; Socks: white stockings; Shoes: approved and comfortable running shoes; Black woven wool caps and black leather gloves (wearing black wool lining): Depending on the climate, black wool gloves are being replaced by neutral gray-green wool gloves, and wool caps are being replaced with grey synthetic fibers. Air Force Physical Training Suit (PRT) ?? The Air Force is currently wearing a new PRT training suit, which includes the following components: T-shirt: gray breathable material, reflective air force logo on the upper left corner of the chest and the center of the back; Shorts: Air Force Blue with silver reflective stripes on both sides and Air Force symbol on the front left; Trousers: Air Force Blue, silver and white piping with reflective stripes; Jacket: Air Force Blue, with silver reflective V-shaped patterns on the front and back, white piping, reflective air force logo on the upper left side of the chest, and a hood hidden in the collar, which can be pulled out when needed. Socks: White socks with a small air force logo. Navy Physical Training Suit (PTU) Navy training suits include gold short-sleeved shirts and navy blue shorts. The lining is made of breathable anti-odor polyester with reflective 'Navy' on the front and back. ?? Navy blue shorts are 15 to 20 cm in length and are suitable for people of all sizes. The shorts have reflective 'Navy' lettering and side pockets. There is also a hidden pocket on the inside of the waist with an ID card. There are also black or navy blue shrink shorts to choose from, which are worn in PTU shorts. Marine Corps Physical Training Suit (PT) ?? The new Marine Corps physical training suit includes: T-shirt: grass green cotton T-shirt, you can use synthetic fibers without any logo; shorts: grass green nylon or 'silk' shorts; Undershirt: Green undershirt with black 'USMC' on the left chest and Marine Eagle, Earth and Anchor logos; Trousers: Green undershirt with black 'USMC' lettering on the left leg and Marine Eagle, Earth and Anchor logos; Sportswear: dark green trousers and jackets with bright red and gold 'Marines' lettering. Extended cold protection clothing system (ECWCS) The Extended Cold Wear System (ECWCS) is a protective suit developed by the US Army Natick Soldier System Center in the 1980s. The system includes windbreakers, pants, and individual clothing, hats, gloves, and shoe components. Different combinations can meet the needs of different cold climate environments. The operating temperature range of the extended cold suit system is -51℃~4℃. At present, the US military's extended cold suit system has been developed to the third generation. ?? The newly developed third-generation system is composed of 7 layers and 14 components. It has thermal insulation, allowing soldiers to adapt to different mission requirements and environmental conditions, and is more compatible with the survivability requirements of body armor. System components include light underwear and panties, medium-sized shirts and panties, cold-proof wool jackets, cold-proof and wind-proof jackets, soft-faced jackets and trousers, anti-cold/moisture-proof jackets and trousers, anti-cold parka coats and trousers. The third generation of extended cold protection clothing has made many improvements compared to the previous two generations: First, individual soldiers can increase or decrease the extended cold protection clothing system according to environmental conditions, and can also adjust according to their own needs. The second is to make improvements on clothing fabrics, using new soft fabrics on the outdoor industrial market to make clothing more breathable and breathable, so that all sweat and excess heat generated by soldiers in winter operations can penetrate Excreted through the jacket. The third is a reduction in weight compared to the previous two generation systems. It has more protective outer layers than the previous two generations, but the volume is smaller; the third generation wool jacket provides the same warmth as the first and second generation wool jackets, but the packaging volume is reduced by 1/3, the entire system It is 2.5 pounds lighter than the previous generation, thus reducing the combat load of soldiers. Fourth, it has cold-proof durability. In the old system, one layer of the main insulation layer needs to be placed under the outer layer of clothing, which will cause the body heat of the soldiers to move in the snow to be completely lost; and the new system has a thickened outer layer, which can be worn on all clothing Outside, even outside the combat load, the soldier can retain all the heat generated by the body, thereby enhancing the soldier's continuous combat effectiveness in a cold climate environment. 3. Fire Fighting Uniform (FROG) Fire-resistant combat uniforms (FROG) are designed to reduce the harm to human bodies caused by the flames produced by improvised explosive devices. The FROG system includes long-sleeved shirts, T-shirts, combat shirts, combat pants, gloves and balaclavas. The shirt and trousers use a camouflage pattern exclusively for the Marine Corps. ?? The balaclava has a hinge-like facial protector, so the wearer can pull the facial protector down to reveal his face without taking off the helmet or the entire balaclava. Both long-sleeved shirts and T-shirts are breathable and bacteriostatic. The combat shirt is similar to the MCCUU, but the part covered by the bulletproof vest does not have fire resistance because the bulletproof vest can provide appropriate protection. A pocket is designed on the upper sleeve of the combat shirt. The style of combat pants is also similar to MCCUU, there is a pants pocket on the calf of the pants to distinguish it from other pants. FROG's gloves use a highly wear-resistant design. When wearing it, the unit commander can judge the level of protection required and decide the number of fire fighting uniforms to wear accordingly. Fourth, combat boots 1. Standard black leather combat boots ?? The boots can be worn on various occasions without special wearing requirements. The boots are lace-up. The boot upper is made of cowhide with mildew-proof and waterproof treatment. The boot door, boot waist and boot bottom are waterproofed and lined with waterproof material. The sole is integrally molded, the outsole of the boot is designed with deep concave and convex patterns, and the heel of the boot can be replaced. Each pair of boots weighs 1.86 kg (No. 9 boots). The boots are standard shoes for general troops. 2. Jungle boots This boot is the preferred shoe for the Army in high humidity environments. It is made of moisture-proof nylon and leather with two air holes. The sole is designed in 'Panama' style, which makes it easier to remove the stuck mud. A steel plate is installed in the sole to prevent puncture injuries. To make it standardized and easy to use in camps, the upper is black. The boot weighs 1.50 kg. 3. Improved desert boots ?? The upper of the boot is made of moisture-proof leather and woven nylon. The rubber of the sole is soft, which can prevent the gravel in the sand and is equipped with a foam insulation layer. Ventilation holes are eliminated, and the upper is equipped with a zipper to prevent sand from entering. The ankle of the boot is wider. There is a padding at the mouth of the boot, and a special sweat lining inside the boot. The boot weighs 1.22 kg. 4. Desert jungle combat boots ?? The boots are improved from the original jungle boots and desert boots. The new boots cancel the distinction between jungle and desert, and combine the two organically. The material of the new boots is matte leather and nylon. The color of the boot body is brown, which can hide the detection of the night vision goggles. The combat boots retain the drainage holes at the inner waist pockets, which not only prevent sand, but also drain water. In order to strengthen the protection of the ankle, the new combat boots use leather instead of the original nylon cloth, and retain the desert boots on the ankle. The boot incorporates a new type of polyether-polyurethane shock-absorbing interlayer. A steel plate is sandwiched between the two layers of fibers in the boot to enhance its anti-stab function. The steel plate is far from the foot, which can effectively prevent the foot from being burned by high temperature. The boots will gradually replace the current desert boots and jungle boots. 5. Insulation boots ?? Insulation boots are army-standard military boots specially designed for cold areas. They are divided into black (commonly known as 'Mickey Mouse' boots) and white (commonly known as 'VB' boots). Black boots are suitable for use in the environment of -32℃~-18℃, while white boots can effectively protect the soldier's feet in the environment of -51℃. The improved white boot is equipped with a new synthetic insulating lining, and a filling boot sole is used to increase friction and reduce weight. 6. Cold boots ?? Cold boots are designed to fill the gap between standard combat boots and thermal insulation boots. The boots belong to marching boots and are suitable for wearing in the humid environment of -23 ℃ ~ -1 ℃. The boots are fully leather and fully lined. The lining is not only waterproof and moisture resistant but also has good breathability. The non-slip design is adopted on the sole of the boot to facilitate walking on ice and snow. The winter boots weigh 2.13 kg. 7. Intermediate cold weather boots (ICWB) ?? The suitable temperature range of this boot is between -10℃ and 20℃, suitable for wearing in the three seasons of autumn, winter and spring, and it has the functions of rain and snow resistance. Inside the boot, a warm-layer inner boot with embroidered polyester non-woven fabric similar to thick socks is placed. The upper is made of waterproof cowhide leather used in ordinary combat boots, and embeds Galtex breathable fabric, which is both waterproof and perspiration-proof, and is suitable for wearing in field operations. The insole is made of high-density polyurethane mesh, which is formed three-dimensionally according to the shape of the foot. It gives the human body a feeling of bouncing when traveling and reduces the burden on the ankle joint. The boots use hook shoelaces, which are quick and easy to put on and take off. The upper mouth of the boot is made of soft leather bag elastic material, and there is no obstruction when putting on and taking off. The sole of the shoe is seamed, and the needle eye is treated with synthetic resin to prevent water penetration. 8. Mountain ski boots ?? Except for mountain troops and troops stationed in Alaska, other US troops rarely equip mountain boots. It is the U.S. Army’s preferred hiking boot and can also be used for skiing or snow walking. The boot weighs 2.13 kg and is made of waterproof leather, with a glove-shaped leather lining and a removable insulating insole. There is a place where the snowboard can be tied on the rubber sole. The boot can effectively protect feet in an environment of -12°C.
